The Vim Dicta (The Venue, Newquay)

So after the excitement of our launch night at The Venue, there are tons of new events lined up.

The next big music event comes straight from Los Angeles, California in the shape of psychogroovers, The Vim Dicta!

The band are on the Cornish leg of their UK tour and what a treat we are in for when they play on Sunday 7th of February at The Venue.

The Vim Dicta serves up soulful, sophisticated music with clever lyrical content - the band formed in LA in late 2011 amidst the city's re-energised underground music scene.

Band members Cori Elliott (vocals/bass), Matt Tunney (guitar/vocals) and Chris Infusino (drums) offer up equal parts of positive virtuosic prog rock (think Led Zeppelin with a dash of Mars Volta/Santana) with a psychedlic rhythm section on a Latin Jazz acid trip.

Add the vocal-power prowess of Cori who is a fine blend of Alison Mosshart and Billie Holliday - and you get the raw talent that is The Vim Dicta.
