THE BEST FESTIVALS IN CORNWALL
Every year we get spoiled for choice with the incredible amount of music and arts festivals, all right on our door-step here in Newquay.
Here's our breakdown of some of the best, all easily accessible when you stay with us
THE GREAT ESTATE (2-4 June)
The first ever Great Estate - the most rambunctious garden fête takes place just up the road in Scorrier House From acts like Echo & The Bunnymen and and Craig Charles through to camel racing, secret Gin gardens, indulgent performances of the arts from across the globe, woodland silent discos and much more!
ELECTRIC BEACH (16-17 June)
Expect world class acts, hip hop, dance, reggae and more, all with the sound of the waves lapping against the shore and the sand between your toes. Mojitos, ice cold beers and cider. Not to forget the most epic after parties that after the festival in our very own Bear|Bar.
TUNES IN THE DUNES (30 June - 2 July)
TITD is set on the beautiful golden sands of Perranporth beach in Cornwall. With a back drop of scenic cliffs and sand dunes, this will be a truly unique event where you can enjoy an ice cold beverage with your feet in the sand and the ocean only a stone’s throw away.
The lineup features Reef, Example, Xavier Rudd, Clean Bandit, Billy Ocean, Levellers to name but a few.
TROPICAL PRESSURE (14-16 July)
Celebrating the rich cultures of Africa, Latin America and the Carribean.
hat a beautiful line up we have for you in 2017 – top quality live acts from across the globe such as Culture Dub Orchestra, Soljah Warriors, The Hempolics to name but a few.
Expect live music from world artists on two specially built stages, and a chance to take part in numerous free music, dance and craft workshops, relax in the chill-out dome or in the healing huts, and spend the night dancing to world class DJ’s in Fandangos
BOARDMASTERS (9-13 August)
Our own local festival, featuring top acts and a surfing competition of course.
The Fistral Beach site houses the surf competition, festival stalls, live music and beer arena, the site near Watergate Bay is the main festival site and camping area, but hey don't slum it when you can stay with us and get a quick bus to the site.
Bands playing this year are Jamiroqui, Alt-J, The Vaccines, The Flaming Lips and many more!
LITTLE ORCHARD FESTIVAL (8-10 Sept)
This year is the fifth year of The Little Orchard Cider and Music festival, a charming Cornish party with some big live bands, a groovy silent disco, BBC Introducing stage, camping and glamping, hot tubs, secret cider walks and cider tasting.
Situated just outside Newquay, this is a little gem and a favourite with locals.
